摘　　要：基于统计、自然语言处理以及人工智能技术的自动作文评分研究在国外,尤其是美国已颇具规模,并于1999年付诸实用。当前的自动作文评分技术及应用方面有代表性的6种系统各有其长处与不足。国内相关研究,尤其是该技术应用于中国英语学习者作文评分的前景,以及需要改进的方面值得关注。The research of automated essay scoring （AES） based on statistics, natural language processing （NLP） and artificial intelligence （AI） receives adequate attention abroad, especially in the U. S. A. One of the systems, E-rater, has been applied in GMAT essay scoring since 1999. Six current AES systems have their own advantages and disadvantages in respect of technology and application. The related research in China, especially the feasibility of the technique applied to Chinese EFL writing and the innovation needed, demand more efforts.
