摘  要:教师发展通常指教师的智力、经验及观点的可持续性发展,其基础是不断对自己的教学过程以及教学理论进行反思,行动研究是解决教师发展问题的有效途径,通过参与行动研究可使大学英语教师提高自身素质,达到教师发展的目的。Teacher development usually refers to the continuous process in which teachers' intellect, experience and opinions develop, with the reflection on teaching procedure and teaching theories. Action research seems to be an effective way to improve teacher development. Based on the analysis of current situations of college English teachers' professional development, this paper mainly discusses the characteristics of action research and its models, putting forward the idea that action research can serve as a method to improve college English teachers' qualifications and achieve teacher development.
