摘　　要：英语新闻听力一直是学生听力学习的一个难点。从篇章的信息性理论出发,分析背景知识在新闻听力教学中的重要性,旨在使学生掌握有效的听力方法,帮助学生提高英语新闻的听力理解能力。The listening comprehension of English news has always been a big obstacle for English majors .This thesis induces the informativity theory of text and analyzes the importance of English news background knowledge in the process of listening teaching and learning,aiming to help students find out the effective way of listening and improve their ability of listening comprehension.
