摘　　要：我国高等教育的发展速度对大学英语教学提出了严峻的挑战。为此,深入进行大学英语教学改革,认清教育形势,更新教育观念,改革教学模式,完善评价体系,充分利用现代化教育手段提高教学质量,满足新时期国家和社会对人才培养的需要,是摆在每一个大学英语教师面前的艰巨任务。The rate of growth of China＇s higher education posed a severe challenge to the teaching of college English. To carry out an in-depth college English teaching reform, one of the most important tasks in front of every college English teacher is to get a clear understanding of the status of education, update their concepts of education, reform their teaching models and improve the evaluation system so as to make full use of modem means of education, improve the quality of teaching and meet the needs of the state and society in the new era.
