摘 要:本文以本校2006级本科不同专业的学生的110学生为主要研究对象,描述了第二学期后学生英语学习动机的状态。本文要阐述的是,要达到"授人以渔而不是授人以鱼"的目的,教师如何针对学生学习动机来调整自己角色来全面提高学生语言学习的能力。The author has made 2-year follow-up study on the students of 2006, including the students from different majors. According to the study on 110 students of them, this paper describes their study situation during the end of their second term. The most basie research methods include two parts: one based on quantity and another on quality. It is found that students have different study motives. Student' diaries mainly show that the individual learners' motives in English learning are not very strong. What is more important is for the teachers adjust their roles to comprehensively improve students' learning skill, whose duty is to teach the students how to fish rather than give them fish.
