China is the original tea-growing area, as well as the first country to grow, produce and drink tea. In the traditional Chinese culture, tea culture plays a significant role. Since tea has the characteristics of cold, frugality, simplicity and elegancy, it has been beloved of writers, and monks for a long time in the history of China. Scholars are much more sensitive to artists, hermits history and culture than common people, and their favorite for tea is the materialized reflection of the times' character- istics in their minds. Therefore, the tea culture is intertwined with scholar culture intangibly. To some extent, the tea culture helps the birth and growth of China' s scholar culture, and the scholar culture enriches the connotation of the tea culture with its intrinsic features and achievements in different periods.
