摘　　要：根据英汉拟声词的特点以及语篇语用功能,汉语古诗词中的拟声词可以有三种译法:译出拟声词、增译拟声词和省译拟声词。这三种翻译策略的选择应该以最大化展现古诗词为首要原则。According to its characteristics and textual pragmatic functions the onomatopoeia in ancient Chinese poetry can be translated by following three strategies ： using corresponding onomatopoeia, adding or omitting onomatopoeia in the target language. Furthermore, the three strategies should be applied with regard to the principle of maximizing the beauty of poetic image.
