摘　　要：当前有关蔡元培的教育独立思想及其实践的研究忽视了蔡元培的"政治人"身份,从而忽视了从政治层面对蔡氏教育独立思想及其实践展开分析。本文认为,作为一位资深的政治人物,蔡氏教育独立思想的提出有明显的政治诉求;1928年后政治形势的变化及由此而生的各种公开的和私下的政治利益、私人关系的冲突,则是导致该思想和实践破产的重要原因。The study result of Cai Yuanpei＇s thought about independence of education and its enforcement always overlook the Cai＇s capacity as a statesman consciously or unconsciously, so that they would ignore the analysis of Cai＇s thought about independence of education and its enforcement from the perspect of politics. In this text, we hold that, as a senior statesman, Cai＇s thought about independence of education had obvious political pursuit; However, the variety of political situation, all kinds of outward and private benefit derived from the variety, and the confliction of private relationship, were the important reasons that caused the disillusion of the educational independence.
