摘　　要：课程设置是全面实现大学英语教学目标的关键，目前各个学校根据自身特色建立切实有效的大学英语课程体系尤为重要。本文介绍了我校上海理工大学立体化大学英语课程设置的特点，分析了拓展类大学英语课程的调查研究结果，阐述了大学英语课程设置的理论依据和实践效果，探讨了新的课程设置对大学英语教学实践的启示意义，并强调大学英语课程体系应具有科学性、系统性和实效性。Course design is essential for accomplishing the objectives of college English teaching. More importantly, it is the primaiT task of colleges to design unique, practical and feasible courses of college English. The paper introduces characteristics of the multi-dimensional course design of college English in USST （ University of Shanghai for Science and Technology）, and discusses its theoretical principles and practices based on the survey among students and teachers. It also explores the significance of the multi-dimensional course design of college English with the focus on its scientificity, systematicness and effectiveness.
