从文本类型说看汉语公示语英译——以乌鲁木齐市公示语为例

摘　　要：公示语在社会生活中使用十分广泛,并发挥着重要作用。它必须能够有效地传达信息,顺利实现其社会交际功能。而目前公示语英译中所出现的错乱现象,已经影响到了信息传递和交流的顺利进行。本文从文本类型的角度,以在乌鲁木齐市收集到的公示语为例,探讨汉英公示语的翻译问题。Public signs are used widely and play an important role in our social lives. They should convey information effectively so as to realize their communicative functions. However, the confusion resulting from the present English translations of public signs has already affected the successful transmission and communication of information. Taking the English translation of some public signs in Urumqi, Xinjiang as an example, this paper discusses the translation of public signs based on text typology.
