摘　　要：《夜色温柔》描写了"迷惘的一代"美国梦幻灭后的悲哀。年轻有为的医生迪克的沉沦自有其社会与历史原因,他不懈地追求自己的理想,却在上流社会道德沦亡的环境中以及生活的重压下走向沉沦。然而,菲茨杰拉德塑造的迪克总是处于复杂的伦理关系中,使他身份错位,陷入一个又一个伦理困境。通过对迪克深陷的伦理关系泥潭的分析,可以发现迪克的悲剧是伦理的悲剧。The disillusionment of the American Dream of the Lost Generation is well represented in Fitzgerald＇s Tender is the Night. Dick struggled for his dream, but it was bitterly beaten by the ethically corrupt ambience of the upper class and the heavy psychological burden in his personal life. Despite the social, historical reasons, the promising psychiatrist Dick Diver＇s depression is to great extent caused by ethical factors. In complicated ethical relationships, Dick＇ s multi-ethical identity puts him in ethical dilemma one after another. With the analysis of Dick＇ s ethical dilemma, Dick＇ s tragedy is found to be an ethical one.
