高职大学英语教学应加强职业能力的培养

摘　　要：职业能力是指个体履行岗位职责,承担本职工作,完成各项任务的能力,由专业能力和非专业能力组成。大学英语教学应以培养学生职业能力为目标,一方面要改变教学内容、教学方法等以培养学生的英语交流能力和自主学习能力,另一方面要增设专业英语课以提升学生专业能力。Vocational ability refers to the ability that one needs to finish all kinds of tasks at work. It consists of professional ability and nonprofessional ability. Based on vocational ability, this paper points out that English teachers should reform their teaching content and teaching methods to develop students＇ nonprofessional ability. This paper also suggests ESP should be taught to develop the students＇ professional ability.
