摘 要:语言教学的最终目的是培养学生双向跨文化交际能力,目前大学英语课堂教学模式不利于培养学生的跨文化交际能力。大学英语使用较广泛、时间较久的两套教材都未涉及中国文化英语表达。全国大学英语四、六级考试也没有考察学生的中国文化英语表达能力。教师本身的跨文化交际能力,无论在文化知识层面上还是能力运用层面上都有待提高。英语合作教学课堂模式能有效提高学生的双向跨文化交际能力。The ultimate purpose of language teaching is to cultivate students' two-way cross-cultural communicative competence. But such competence cannot be fully cultivated under the present college English teaching mode. The reasons are as follows. The current widely used teaching materials do not involve the English expressions for the Chinese culture. The National College English Tests (band 4 and band 6 ) are not partly designed to examine students' ability to express the Chinese culture in English. Teachers' communicative competence across cultures needs to be improved. Cooperative English teaching is put forward to effectively cultivate students' two-way crosscultural communicative comoetence.
