摘　　要：英语中词汇转类是一种普遍现象,而名词动用又是其中最活跃的一类。动物名词动用现象是名词动用中使用频繁、特色鲜明的实例,其实质是一种认知思维过程,其中概念转喻和隐喻思维起着重要的作用,而且,认知思维对各种类型的英语动物名词动用的汉译策略有着重要的指导作用。The denominal verb is the most active category of conversions in English. And the animal denominal verb, as a good example of the denominal verbs with high frequency and distinct features, is fundamentally a process of cognitive thinking, over which the conception metonymy and the metaphorical thinking play important roles equally. Furthermore, cognitive thinking is highly significant for the decision on translation strategies of different categories of animal denominal verbs in English.
