摘  要:随着高校扩招,我国高校普遍存在大学英语大班教学的情况,给英语教学带来了很多问题和挑战。本文将分析,目前国内高校英语大班教学的利弊,并结合实际,探讨行之有效的教学方法,并重点分析“合作学习”,这一以“学习者为中心”来教学策略,如运用得当,在大班教学中同样可以取得良好的效果。With the extension of university enrollment, teaching English to large classes has become a common practice in the universities of China, which has brought many problems and challenges to college English teaching. This paper aims to explore useful and practicable strategies to meet the challenges of college English teaching by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of teaching English to large classes and points out that the student--centered "Cooperative Learning", if used properly, can make large classes almost as effective as their smaller counterparts.
