摘　　要：蔡元培的大学观是中国传统文化的精华与西方现代文明相结合的产物,体现在蔡元培对大学职能、办学理念、办学体制和培养目标等方面的论述中,是蔡元培办学实践的高度概括和总结,对中国近代大学产生了十分重要的推动作用,至今仍具有借鉴意义。Cai Yuanpei＇s university view is the combination between the essence of Chinese traditional culture and the west modern civilization, and also is a general summary for his school - running practice, which is manifested in his description of university function, school - running ideas, school - running system and training goal. His university view does much good to promoting the development of Chinese modern university and is still referential now .
