摘　　要：理工科大学生翻译能力的培养迄今仍未得到应有的重视，需求分析的缺失是导致这一现状的重要原因。本文首先澄清对翻译的认识，然后从个人、社会、当前、未来等角度分析了理工科大学生对翻译能力的需求，强调了需求分析的复杂性，呼吁切实提高理工科大学生的实用翻译能力。The lack of a comprehensive needs analysis of the science and technology majors leads to misunderstandings of translation competence development. Based on clarified translation concepts, this article analyzes the requirements of the translation competence of the science and technology majors, including their personal needs, social needS, present needs and target needs. This article emphasizes the complexity of this kind of analysis and proposes to effectively improve the translation competence of science and technology majors.
