摘　　要：机器翻译是解决不同语言之间交流障碍的重要技术手段。本文介绍了机器翻译的发展历程,以及同机器翻译相关的一些重要术语概念,包括基于规则的机器翻译,基于实例的机器翻译,统计机器翻译以及计算机辅助机器翻译。不同的研究方法出发点有所不同,如何进行优势互补,混合建模是未来一个重要的发展趋势。Machine translation is one of the key techincal means to solve the problems of communication between different languages. The orgin and development of manchine translation are introduced in this paper. Some terms related to machine translation are explained in details,including machine translation, rule-based machine translation, example-based machine translation, statistical machine translation, computer aided translation and so on. The starting points of different methods are different. How to use complementary advantage to build a mixed model is the trend of machine translation development.
