摘　　要：翻译单位问题是翻译理论研究的一个重要课题,同时构成了翻译理论和实践中一个不可或缺的部分。关于这个问题,中外译者与翻译理论家进行了多角度、多方位、广泛而深入细致的反复研究,但始终存在分歧和争议。在此对一些争议较大问题的研究进行了整理,以期能更好地了解"翻译单位"这一概念。The unit of translation （UT） is not only an important issue in translation studies, but it is also an indispensable part of translation theory and practice. Though translators and translation theorists have done a lot of research on this issue, there are still controversies and disparities. In this paper, we have sor- ted out the major controversial issues in this field to achieve a better understanding of the concept.
