摘　　要：素质教育呼唤培养学生创新精神及实践能力，而课堂教学是学生创新精神及实践能力培养的主渠道，因此，课堂教学中的创新教育就成为实施素质教育的主要手段。本文结合作者在教学实践中的一些体会谈谈如何在英语课堂教学中进行创新精神及实践能力的培养。Quality--based education requires us teachers to train the students＇ creating spirit and practising ability, and class teaching is the main way to train them, so the creating education in class teaching is necessarily the key means to carry out the quali- ty-based education.
