摘 要:美国高等教育领域的网络教育经过近十年的迅速发展,目前已达到了460万人的规模。虽然网络学生的注册率仍在持续增长,但从史隆联盟2008年和2009年最新发布的两份调查报告中可以发现:无论是从其发展的速度,从院校管理者对网络教育的重视程度,还是从高校为教师从事网络教学所提供的培训、激励及政策而言,美国高等网络教育已进入了其发展的高原期。推动网络教育一直向前的力量是越来越多的是终身学习者对新型、多样化学习方式的需求。中国的高等网络教育应该以这种需求为导向,同时应该学习史隆联盟的经验,加强对网络教育的持续、系统化研究。As an instituteional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education,the Sloan Consortium has published 7 annual survey reports from 2002 to now.Here are the sixth and seventh annual report on the state of online learning among higher education institutions in the United States.The two reports show that online higher education has reached it's plateau over the past several years because most chief academic officers don't regard online higher education as part of long-term strategy in their institutions,they also couldn't motivate and support teachers to engage in online teaching.
