英 汉数词在成语和习语翻译中的对比研究

摘　　要：数词具有严格的界限和确定性,其显著特点是表达概念的精确性,可在另一方面,数词的语义在语用中又具有模糊性和不确定性的特点,正是这些特点造成了翻译过程中的困难。拟以数词成语及习语为例,分析对比英汉语数词语用意义和构词方面的异同,旨在预测英汉数词互译过程中的困难并解释其原因,同时还就归化、直译+解释以及转换三种翻译策略在翻译数词成语、习语时的应用进行了分析。Numbers are used to convey the accuracy, but also have the features of vagueness and uncertainty, which really cause the difficulties of translation This paper compares the pragmatic meanings of Chinese and English numerals in daily communication with the purpose of predicting and explaining the sources of difficulties in translating numeral idioms and compound words. Some strategies such as adaptation, literal translation plus explanation and transfer are analyzed to show that under the translation principle of giving priority to the most important meaning of the original, the translation of numerals is possible.
