摘　　要：本文拟对英汉主位结构进行对比研究,分析其在两种语言中的差异,同时探究英语写作中的主位推进模式,旨在促进英语写作教学。The theory of theme and rheme is an important functional system where discourse is studied. Through comparison of English and Chinese thematic structure, the paper is intended to illustrate the relationship between thematic progression and English writing. Moreover, the paper also elucidates the effect on teaching practice produced by the mode of theme and rheme.
