中医名词术语英译标准的哲学思考

摘　　要：中医名词术语英译标准应从哲学角度考量。绝大多数代表中医学专门知识的概念在中医典籍中通过隐喻、类比的方式命名、形成,体现着中医学特有的天人合一、取象比类的思维模式和方法论。因此,中医名词术语英译应采用反映其隐喻内涵的翻译策略,从而反映其中蕴含的中医哲学思维。Standard English terminology of Chinese Medicine should be considered and evaluated based on philosophy. Most of the specialized Chinese medical concepts are formed and termed by means of metaphor and analogy in ancient medical classics, embodying the specific thinking way of Tian Ren He Yi,which means Universe and Man Uniting and Resembling Each Other and the specific methodology of Qu Xiang Bi Lei, which means Taking Image and Reasoning from Analogy of Chinese Medicine. Therefore, English translation of Chinese Medical terminology should take the strategy, which reflects its metaphorical implications for mirroring the philosophical thinking of Chinese medicine contained in the terminology.
