英语长句语言思维特征视角下的汉译

摘　　要：思维的方式决定着语言的表达形式。翻译的本质是不同思维形式的转换,思维是翻译赖以存在的基础和条件。在翻译过程中,研究译入语民族的思维方式特点,分析英汉两种语言在思维上的异同,尤其是相异之处,在翻译时就可以自觉地运用这些特点,找到解决问题的方法和途径。以西方科技英语思维特征为起点,探讨这种思维特征在句法上的表现,思考翻译科技英语长句的翻译策略。Expression follows man＇s thinking,the nature of translation is the transfer of different thinking modes,and the thinking is the foundation and precondition of translation.Studying the thinking characteristics of source languages and analyzing the differences between English and Chinese,helpful to find the solution to the problems in translation.The paper probes into the features of English language in thinking and explores the syntactic structures in EST and focuses on strategies in the process of translating long sentences in EST.
