摘　　要：翻译理论对译者的翻译实践有着重要的指导作用。归化与异化的关系始终是翻译界争论的焦点之一。论文以张谷若《苔丝》译本为例,研究了归化与异化两种理论在翻译中的具体运用,倡导归化与异化相结合的翻译策略。Translation theory plays a very important role in translation practice.And the discussion between domestication and foreignization remains a hot topic in translation circle.The present paper advocates the combination of domestication and foreignization,with the conclusion from the study on Zhang Guruo＇s translation of Tess of the d＇Urbervilles,mainly the practice of domestication and foreignization in his translation.
