摘　　要：美国著名音乐教育哲学家戴维.埃里奥特认为,音乐是一种具有目的性的人类行为,音乐是人类的一种实践活动,而且是一个多样化的人类实践活动,音乐教育的本质和意义取决于音乐的本质和音乐在人类生活中的重要性。埃里奥特的实践音乐教育哲学思想对于我国学校音乐教育教学改革具有重要的启示价值。David J·Elliott,a well-known American philosopher of music education believes that music is a kind of purposeful human behavior,a practical activity of mankind and a diverse human practice.The essence,as well as the significance of music education lie in the nature of music and its importance in human life.Elliott＇s practical philosophy of music education has important implications for the reform of music education and instruction at home.
