摘  要:久负盛名的"食在广州"没有被联合国教科文组织认可,而成都却通过努力获得"美食之都"之誉。对这一现象的深层分析表明:广州自我包袱太重,在竞争面前未能锐意进取,缺乏有效的组织和建设,不重视统一规划和整体包装等,是其竞争力不足的根源所在。但发展广州美食的天时地利人和优势仍在,只要急起直追,下一个"美食之都"就有可能是广州。The famous "Eating in Guangzhou" failed to be recognized by UNESCO whereas Chengdu successfully obtained the "gourmet capital" title. A deep investigation into the failure shows that the loss of charaeeristics and competitiveness for Guangzhou traditional food culture is due to the self - imposed heavy burden, lack of effective organization and construction, and paying less attention to unified planning and packaging.However, Guangzhou food is still has its certain advantages. As long as people in the field of Guangzhou food sum up experience and lessons, and work hard, Guangzhou may win the title of "gourmet capital" in the nextround of competition.
