摘　　要：译学研究的"文化转向"表明,翻译是跨语言、跨文化的信息交流。误译通常源于译者头脑中的固有图式、母语思维以及对原语文化的错位预设。本文试图从《译海淘沙录》中的启发性译例探讨各种英汉误译的发生学原理。＂The cultural turn＂ in translation studies indicates that translation is informational communication across languages and cultures.The misreading,coming from the cultural schema or presupposition in one＇s mother culture,is mainly caused by different modes of thinking.Based on the heuristic examples from Pitfalls in Translation Between English and Chinese,this paper tries to probe into the genetics principle that accounts for the above-mentioned phenomena of mistranslation.
