基于文化差异角度的英汉习语翻译研究

摘　　要：分析了英汉习语中所反映的文化差异,如自然环境的差异、生存环境的差异、习俗的差异、宗教信仰的差异、历史典故的差异等,阐述了英汉习语翻译应注意的原则,并提出了一些可行的翻译方法,如直译法、意译法、转换形象法、增译法、省略法等。This paper analyzes the cultural differences in the translation of idioms between Chinese and English,including those in natural environment,ecological environment,conventions and customs,religious beliefs and historical allusions.It proceeds to clarify the principles in translating idioms in the two languages,and put forward some methods to fulfill such a task,including literal translation,free translation,image shifting,amplification and omission.
