摘　　要：为满足英语基础较好大学生英语能力发展的需要，架起基础英语向专业英语发展的桥梁，本文提出了通用学术英语读写课程教学思路。文章首先梳理了国外学术用途英语的教学与研究文献，界定了通用学术英语与专用学术英语的主要特点．指出了两者的基本区别。在此基础上，文章设计了通用学术英语读写课程的总体框架和教学内容．并提出了具体教学建议。This paper proposes a writing-through-reading approach to teaching EGAP （English for General Academic Purposes） courses targeted at students with a higher level of general English proficiency. EGAP courses may serve as a bridge between EGP （English for General Purposes） and ESAP （English for Specific Academic Purposes）. Based on a brief review of the EAP （English for Academic Purposes ） literature, the paper defines the main features of EGAP and ESAP, and reveals their basic distinctions. It then establishes a framework for the proposed EGAP courses and offers course contents. Finally, the paper specifies tentative teaching procedures.
