摘 要:英语单词重音位置掌握不好一直是困扰中国学生的难题。英汉对比方面的研究显示汉语和英语词重音模式差异显著。分析发现原因在于两种语言词重音的位置和性质受到不同因素影响:英语词重音位置总是和形态挂钩,而汉语则更容易受到节律和语义双方面因素的影响。这些影响因素在性质上的差异很容易造成学习者对英语词重音不敏感,导致习得失败。The placement of stress in English words often confuses Chinese EFL learners. Studies in contrast between Chinese and English reveal that Chinese lexical stress patterns differ significantly from that of English. Through the analysis, we find that this difference originates from the fact that the lexical stress patterns of the two languages are influenced by different elements: English lexical stress patterns are closely related to the morphological patterns of words while Chinese lexical stress patterns are always influenced by prosodic and semantic features, which, in turn, may have caused Chinese students' insensitivity to English lexical stress and difficulty in mastering English lexical stress rules.
