摘　　要：Since 1993, English education in middle schools has experienced a great change, that is, a total alteration of English textbooks. Such alteration has brought about the change of English teachings in schools. This paper has compared the differences between the past textbooks and the present ones, analyzed the strengths and weaknesses the present textbooks have brought to students, and given potential solutions to such weaknesses.1993年中学英语课本的更换,给中学英语教学带来了巨大的变革。这次变革对英语教学产生了巨大的影响。本文分析了新旧教材在内容、结构和语法安排上的区别,探讨了新教材在使用上给学生带来的利弊,并提出解决办法。
