摘　　要：科技英语虽不以辞藻华丽见长,但科技英语中形容词的广泛使用使得广大科技翻译工作者必须在翻译实践中高度重视形容词的翻译。本文突破传统的从句法角度研究形容词的方法,拟从语义角度将科技英语中的前置形容词分为三类,即:定名类前置形容词,对比类前置形容词,描述类前置形容词;并对不同类前置形容词的汉译进行讨论,以期科技译文质量的提高。This paper intends to classify the pre modified adjectives in EST into three general categories not from syntactic point of view,but from semantic point of view:Term determinative pre modified adjectives,Contrastive pre modified adjectives,and Descriptive pre modified adjectives and conduct a preliminary research on the translation of pre modified adjectives in EST.
