摘　　要：文章首先从2011年英语专业四、八级考试测试内容入手,分析了各部分材料主题、主题范围和体裁以及各个测试项目的设计特点及测试内容;其次,文章分析了2011年度考试的描述性数据以反映分数的分布特点;再次,文章随机抽取了10篇八级作文,分析了作文分数与思想表达、语言运用能力和写作规范等维度之间的关系;最后,在定性和定量分析的基础上,文章探讨了考试对英语专业教学的启示。This article starts with an extensive analysis of the content of the TEM4 and TEM8 papers for 2011, focusing on topical domains and types of genre of test input as well as design of questions. Then, the article moves on to present and analyze the descriptive data of-TEM4/8-2011. On the basis of the overall qualitative and quantitative analysis, the article selects 10 TEM8 writing scripts for detailed investigation, with a view to identifying features or problems of student writing. The article ends with suggestions for pedagogic instruction for English language majors.
