摘　　要：通过问卷调查了解非英语专业学生课外英语阅读的现状,尽管大多数学生认识到了课外阅读的重要性,却较少付诸行动,阅读时间偏少,在选择合适材料和阅读策略等方面还存在一些问题。英语教师应该承担起指导学生的责任,帮助他们提高英语阅读能力。A survey was conducted to study non English majors＇ extracurricular English reading activities. It was found that most students had recognized the importance of extracurricular English reading, but they did not read much and still had some problems in choosing appropriate reading materials and reading strategies. English teachers should take the responsibility to guide the students and help them improve their English reading abilities.
