义符、熟悉性和典型性对汉字词和图片命名与分类的影响

摘　　要：通过2个实验,考察汉字词和图片命名与分类的特点,揭示义符、熟悉性和典型性在汉字词和图片命名与分类中的作用。结果表明,义符对汉字词和图片的命名与分类的影响具有不对称性,对汉字词加工的影响大,对图片加工的影响小,对汉字词分类的影响大,对汉字词命名的影响小。熟悉性和典型性对汉字词和图片的命名与分类均有显著影响,熟悉度高的词和图片的命名与分类快于熟悉度低的词和图片,典型性高的词和图片的命名与分类也快于典型性低的词和图片。义符促进熟悉度低的字词和图片的分类,也会促进典型性低的字词和图片的分类。Two experiments were conducted to explore the nature of naming and categorizing of Chinese words and pictures, and to examine the role of semantic radicals, familiarity, typicality in the naming and categorizing. The results indicated that Chinese words and pictures were symmetrical in naming and categorizing. Semantic radicals had an asymmetry effect on the naming and categorizing. They affected only word-processing but not picture-processing. More specifically, semantic radical had a significant effect only on word-categorizing but not word-reading. The results also showed that familiarity and typicality would affect the naming and categorizing of Chinese words and picture. Words and pictures with high familiarity or typicality were processed faster than those with low familiarity or typicality. There is a little interactive effect between semantic radicals and familiarity or between semantic radical and typicality. Semantic radicals only promoted the processes of categorizing of words and pictures with low familiarity and typicality.
