摘　　要：With a view to achieving the objective of developing education for Chinese women as envisaged in the "Action Plan" and the "Program of Women’s Development in China", the Chinese government has adopted a whole array of policies and measures, which have been crowned with outstanding success, in the past five years. As a result, the differences between boys and girls in school enrollment have been basically eliminated, school drop-out among girls has been brought under control, the illiteracy rate among woman has been markedly reduced, and the number of women receiving occupational and higher education has beer on the increase.With a view to achieving the objective of developing education for Chinese women as envisaged in the 'Action Plan' and the 'Program of Women's Development in China', the Chinese government has adopted a whole array of policies and measures, which have been crowned with outstanding success, in the past five years.
