从关联理论看文化缺省在翻译中的处理方法

摘　　要：根据关联理论的观点,翻译是一种跨文化语际转换。而译者的任务是寻找译文与原文在语言信息和文化信息上的最佳关联。其中,文化缺省是跨文化翻译所必须面对的问题。最佳关联原则对翻译有很强的解释力,可用来探讨文化缺省和翻译的方法,以实现原文作者的意图,满足目的语读者的期待。According to relevant theory, translation is an intercultural and interlingual transference. The translator＇s task is to look for the best relevance between the source text and the target text in terms of language and culture information. Cultural default is something the translator must face in translating from one culture to another. The principle of optimal relevance can interpret translation strongly. It can be em- ployed to explore how to deal with cultural default so as to best express the author＇s intention and meet the demands of target text readers.
