摘 要:面向对象方法已经成一种最有前途的软件开发方法之一。面对对象程序设计方法应用于工程计算已有近十年 ,所采用的语言为 C++、Eiffel和 Smalltalk等。从 90年代初有关面向对象程序设计 (OOP)的书和文章都对 Fortan77(F77)贬抑 ,因为它缺乏面向对象的特性和数据结构。然而新一代的 Fortran90 (F90 )却具有 C++、Eiffel和 Smalltalk等语言的绝大部分特性 ,易于扩充到大型并行机且支持国际ISO和 ANSI标准 ,尽管 F90与 F70完全兼容 ,但 F90拥有强大的封装、继承、多重继承和多态等面向对象程序设计语言的重要特性。本文将举例说明这些对使用面向对象程序设计方法进行工程计算的非常重要的特性。Object oriented programming (OOP) has become one of the most promising methods for developing software. It has been applied in engineering computation for nearly a decade. Examples of OOP languages are C++, Eiffel, Smalltalk and so on. In early 1990's all the literature on OOP disparaged Fortran77 (F77) for its lack of object oriented features and data structures. However, Fortran90 (F90), the new generation of Fortran, is designed to contain most of features of OOP languages such as C++, Eiffel and Smalltalk. Besides, it is readily extended to massively parallel machines and conforms to ISO and ANSI standards. Although F90 is fully compatible with F77, it has key features of OOP such as powerful encapsulation, inheritance, multiple inheritance, polymorphism, and so on. This paper illustrates these features which are important to engineering computation with samples.
