摘　　要：为了更好地研究英语名祖词的分类标准,采用文献综述法和例证分析法,以名祖词来源为出发点,在总结国内外名祖词分类标准的基础上,提出对其进行分类研究的新原则——真实性。在此原则指导下对英语名祖词进行分类研究,以期丰富英语名祖词的相关研究,服务于英语词汇教学,进而提高英语学习者的跨文化交际能力。In order to deal with the categorization of English eponyms, literature was reviewed and ex- amples were analyzed. Based on various sources of eponyms and ways of their classifications in and abroad, a new angle was brought forth to classify eponyms — principle of reality. The new study will enrich the related study of English strengthen the English learners＇ ability eponyms, facilitate English vocabulary teaching, and ultimately of cross-cultural communication.
