论“们”字的来源

摘　　要："们"字虽是汉语中常用字,但何时在汉语中开始使用,其语源是什么尚不清楚,通过对古今语料的分析,以该字的发展过程为线索探其源,结论:"们"字的语源是"民"。Though the Chinese character ＂men＂ is widely used, till now we are not sure when it began to be used in Chinese and what its origin is. The thesis attempts to find out its origin through analyzing the lin-guistic materials in ancient and modern Chinese. ＂men＂ firstly appeared in Liu Zhiji＇s work in 710. In Song Dynasty, it appeared repeatedly in Song lyrics, the notes and the quotations in Song, whieh was written in different forms. In Yuan Dynasty, it often appeared in yuan dramas. In Ming Dynasty, it ap-peared in the same form in all the articles. The character ＂men＂ originated from the tongue in ancient Chi-nese. ＂men＂ has many different forms. It is the same as the connotation of the plural form of the English word ＂man＂. The etymology of ＂men＂ is ＂ ＂ ＂ mln .
