从社会语言学角度看影视翻译——以电影《窈窕淑女》为例

摘　　要：翻译的对象总是基于社会的文本，文本的字里行间总是体现了各种社会因素对语言使用的影响，因此，在社会环境中研究语言的社会语言学便为翻译提供了可靠的理论指导。这里以由萧伯纳的《卖花女》改编而成的电影《窈窕淑女》中两个译本为例，从社会语言学角度对两个译本进行对比分析，为影视翻译研究和实践提供一定的指导。For translation, its object is always the text created in the society, in which the influence of various social factors to language use is invariably reflected. Therefore, sociolinguistics which studies language use in social environment provides a reliable theoretical guidance for translation. Taking two Chinese translations of film My Fair lady adapted from George Bernard Shaw＇s Pygmalion as an example, this paper comparatively analyzes these two translations from the perspective of sociolinguistics for the purpose of providing some guidance for the study and practice of film translation
