从《阿Q正传》两英译本看文化翻译

摘　　要：语言是文化的承载者,也属于文化的一部分,反映着不同的文化。不同语言之间的交际实际上是不同文化之间的交流。作为不同语言之间的桥梁,翻译显然在跨文化交际中起到了至关重要的作用。正是因为语言蕴含了各自不同的文化内容,文化翻译成为译者翻译的难题。所以如何选择文化翻译策略成为每个译者翻译时必不可少的过程。本文从《阿Q正传》的两英译本来探讨不同的文化翻译策略并分析译者处理的原因。Language is the carrier of culture and the reflection of it.The communication between languages is essentially the exchange between different cultures.As a bridge between two different languages,translation plays a vital role in the cross-cultural communication.However,as different cultures harbor their own cultural contents,translators inevitably confronted the difficulty of cultural translation.They can never convey the exact meaning of some culture-linked words in another language.That＇s why translation is an art with regrets.Therefore it is crucial for translators to handle with the culture-linked components in translation.This paper will examine the different cultural translation strategies used in the two English versions of Lu Xun＇s novel A Q Zheng Zhuan and further analyze the reasons why the translators made such choices.
