摘　　要：外语阅读能力的培养一直都是教学的中心任务之一。图式理论的出现为外语教学注入了很多新的思路,其对外语阅读教学的影响主要体现在如何处理语言图式外的能力。外语教师应该采用不同的教学途径实现内容图式和修辞图式的传授,培养学习者更加全面的阅读能力,帮助他们成为终生的乐读者。Cultivating reading ability in foreign languages has been one of the center tasks in foreign language teach- ing. The schema theory shed lights on foreign language teaching by shifting the focus on non -linguistic compe- tence. Language teachers must adopt different teaching approaches to fulfill the cultivation of content schema and rhetorical schema in foreign languages. Such approaches can help the foreign language learners to be efficient read- ers, and even lifelong joyful readers.
