从认知角度看新闻英语翻译的偏差

摘　　要：新闻英语的翻译既体现了一般的翻译过程,即理解与表达,也是一个复杂的认知过程。此认知过程包括初步理解过程,即词汇、句子的初步理解,又包含对文章主题、语境的识别。在新闻英语翻译的过程中,受主客观因素的制约,即个体认知能力、语言水平、社会文化环境,会导致翻译偏差。所以译者需要提高自身的认知能力,即对各个领域的知识都有所了解,并且还需提高对新闻各个领域专业词汇的敏感度,增加对各种社会文化环境的了解。这样才能减少翻译出现错误,使译文更准确。The translation of English news shows not only the general translation process, that is, comprehension and expression, but also a complicated cognitive process. It includes the primary comprehension of vocabulary, sentences and the recognition of the theme and context of the news. In the translation of English news, the translation tolerance cannot be neg-lected with subjective and objective conditions, such as the individual cognitive ability, language proficiency and different civilizations. Therefore, translators need to improve the vision and knowledge, be sensitive to different kinds of vocabulary and know more about background of different cuhures. If these have been done, mistakes can be reduced and the translation will be more accurate.
