摘　　要：澳大利亚英语是英语的一种重要的地域性变体。笔者从认知语言学的角度,运用范畴层次、隐喻和转喻理论,从词义变化和构词法两方面对澳大利亚英语词汇进行研究。研究澳大利亚英语词汇的认知机制是研究澳大利亚英语的一个新视角,对于改进我国的外语教学和提高学生的跨文化交际能力具有指导作用。Australian English is an important regional variety of English.With categorization,metaphor and metonymy in the cognitive linguistics as theoretical basis,the paper attempts to conduct the lexical study in terms of semantic change and word formation.It is a new perspective to study Australian English lexicon cognitively,which contributes a lot to improving the English teaching and cross-cultural communicative competence.
