摘　　要：刘之常先生是我国电化教育领域知名的先行者。他积极探索,开拓创新,深入开展民众教育,毕生致力于电化教育的实践发展和理论进步。文章借助文献史料,阐述了刘之常先生积极开展以电化教育为中心的社会教育、知识普及以及为满足社会教育的需要而开展的系列实践活动,说明电化教育实践的重要性。Mr. Liu Zhichang is famous forerunner in audio-visual education field in China. He actively carried out the education of the masses and devoted himself to the practical development and theoretical progress of andio-visual education. Based on the existing literature data, this paper demonstrates the series of activities of Mr. Liu Zhichang＇s early educational practice and the importance of practices in andio-visual education field.
