摘  要:高职教育的特色和核心理念就是培养学生的行业应用能力,高职英语教学就是以培养学生英语交际应用能力为教学目标。语言和文化是相辅相成的,语言是文化的传承载体;文化是语言的内核。缺失文化知识的了解对于语言的学习尤其是语言应用能力的形成必然会遇到极大的阻力。然而,在实际的英语课堂教学中,文化导入没有得到完全的重视。本文通过对语言与文化的关系入手,分析和介绍高职英语教学的现状,揭示了文化导入对于高职英语教学的必要性,阐述了教学中进行文化导入的教学方法。Cuhivating students' actual application ability is feature and essential idea for higher vocational educational education. The aim for vocational English teaching is to train the students' communicative competence in English. Language and culture complement one another, and language is the carrier of culture and a part culture. The lack of acquisition of culture knowledge caused a lot of resistance for learners to learn language and de velop languageapplication abilities. However, introducing cul ture has been ignored in present vocational English classroom. Starting with the relationship between cnhure and language, this paper analy and describes the present situation of English teaching. Then, the author shows the significance of introducing culture in higher vocational English teaching. The last part states the approaches of introducing culture.
