摘　　要：Ernest Hemingway is one of the most famous American novelists,short story writer and essayist,whose deceptively simple prose style hasinfluenced wide range of writers.The writing style of Hemingway is social.He usually describes hisown true experience in this novel.Hemingway creates many "HemingwayHeroes".They live in great pressure,they suffer from painful physicalwound and terrible mental wound,but they always keep stances of man-hood,such as Santiago in The Old Man andErnest Hemingway is one of the most famous American novelists, short story writer and essayist, whose deceptively simple prose style has influenced wide range of writers. From reading his novel, we are deeply moved by the characters of the novel and their ac- tions and thought can greatly inspire us.
